The 2020 session of the Minnesota Legislature began on February 11. Since then, Minnesota PTA has been monitoring legislation as it has been introduced and heard in committees. The Minnesota PTA Board of Directors approved our 2020 Legislative and Policy Agenda in January, and we use this document to help us determine which issues Minnesota PTA will focus on during this session.
Areas where Minnesota PTA will actively promote legislation include:
- Adequate and Stable Education Funding
- Special Education Funding
- Student Support Staff
- Increase Teachers of Color Act
- Vouchers, Tax Credits and Scholarships
- Public Schools Week
