2016-2017 Local Unit Officer and Chairperson List

Print and complete this form to report your PTA officers and chairperson’s contact information. To ensure we connect with current board members, please mail to the MNPTA office anytime there is an update.

2016-2017 Dues Remittance Form

Complete this form and return with check payment for your PTA membership dues by December 1st for your Fall Memberhship Drive and March 31st for your Spring Membership Drive.  Please call 651-999-7320 to arrange a later due date.  Membership dues are $6.25 per member, with $4 supporting Minnesota PTA.  $2.25 is the portion which purchases each National PTA membership.  We recommend that local units offer different membership levels, so each voting member can also contribute to their local PTA.  For example, a $15 membership can support the local PTA with $8.75 per person!
Bingo night and raffles are activities many PTAs enjoy as part of their "family fun" evenings and can be a great source of fundraising dollars!  The Minnesota Gambling Control Board has guidelines for how exempt organizations may and may not spend gambling funds, as well as an application for an annual exempt permit.

Movie nights are one of the many events hosted by PTAs in their efforts to gather families together each school year.  If your school does not already own a movie license to share with your PTA,  selling "movie tickets" or snacks might be a good way to offset the cost of the license.

Minnesota PTA requires a review of bylaws every 5 years. This ensures that the bylaws are pertinent for the time period for which they are referenced. Bylaws updates can be made at any time, as long as the change is agreed upon by vote of the membership. Please email bylaws updates to mnpta@mnpta.org for approval.  We will keep a copy of your most current local unit bylaws on file in the MN PTA office.

"PTSA" refers to groups who include students in their membership.  This option is most often utilized at the high school or middle school levels.
Local units are responsible for obtaining their own insurance for the protection of the assets of their association.

AIM Association Insurance Management, Inc. and R.V. Nuccio & Associates, Inc. are PTA recommended companies offering insurance options for PTAs.
